Designing Hope developped TransJardins to create human links between community garden initiatives, educational gardens working to popularize techniques of agroecology, permaculture, agroforestry.

Each garden has a special role. In South Africa, Roosboom garden is targeting young orphans in a day care home supported by designing Home since 2007. In Swaziland, 240 children from 6 schools are involved on an educational project that also provides vegetables for each canteen.

In Lesotho a micro farm was developped in a school for deaf, in order to create job opportunities for the youth.

Transjardins is a way for these young people from different countries to discuss about the experiences that are undertaken. but beyond agriculture this blog is also a way to create human ties, friendship among these children.
Below is a presentation of the various projects associated to date.
